Jorge Díaz Rodríguez
Vocal Guitar
Jorge, from Spain, is a singer of Latin music, mainly Spanish folk music, in Japan.
From young age he studies Spanish operetta (zarzuela) and also performed operettas with his siblings at the theatres. At the age of 17 He became a member of A.L.T.A. (Zarzuela association of the city of Torrejón de Ardoz), the most prestigious amateur opera association in Spain.He also joined one of the historical student group of folklore “LA TUNA” at the age 19. He performed in front of the King and Queen of Spain, at the parties of Real Madrid and other Spanish football teams, at the state dinners of various countries, and in shows where he participated on stage with world-known musicians. Since moved to Japan early 90s, he has based his musical activities in Japan. Jorge currently works mainly live stage performances, appearances on TV and radio programmes, music for commercials, etc, and 2021 he founded a band “ KILOMBO” with his fellow musicians, “FAMILY”.
Charango Guitar Vocal
Born 1952 in Santa Fe Province, Argentina.
Came to Japan in 1978 as a member of quena maestro Antonio Pantoja's tour of Japan.In 1985, he moved his base of activities to Japan and since then has been active in spreading the appeal of Latin music in Japan. He plays mandolin, charango, guitar, keyboards and percussion at will, and also shows his versatility as a singer and songwriter. He contributed songs to the soundtrack of the film Inamura Jane, directed by Keisuke Kuwata, and to Orquesta de la Luz's album La Avventura, which was nominated for a Grammy Award for 'Best Latin Album' in 1995. Furthermore, He, as a big football fan, wrote the music and the lyrics for a support song for a Japanese national football team at the 2002 FIFA World Cup and released 'VIVA Japan'.
In addition to his musical activities, he is active as a DJ on Inter FM (76.1MHz), narrates commercials and translates into Spanish.With his bright and cheerful character and passionate Latin spirit, he is a multi-talented artist who is creating a huge sensation throughout Japan.
Guitar Bass
Born in Manizales, Colombia, famous for the region of coffee, but also for music.
He started his career as a musician when he was only 15 years old.
While he was teaching music, mainly playing guitar and bass, he also started his career as a professional guitarist in many different kinds of rock and funk bands, and the orchestra.
With his bands and the career with the orchestra he travelled around the Europe, in particular touring France and Italy.In 2014 he moved to Brisbane, Australia he began to play jazz inspired music, and he was drawn to Gypsy Jazz, in earnest.
In 2016 he relocated to Tokyo, Japan. He has been playing in many different music scenes with his knowledges and expertises since.
In 2020 he formed Latin fusion band "Goza" with Moises Zamora, a flutist and a vocal, and re-formed his gypsy jazz inspired project, SB project.
He currently co-founded the classic-rock band "Kashmir" and the latin fusion band "Kilombo", led by Jorge Díasz Rodríguez, and also takes parts as a guitarist, a bassist and a producer.
